THE UNWRITTEN RULE
Round the route off nicely with a warm brew at the Felbrigg Estate Cafe☕.
🏃♀️ THE RUN 🏃♂️
Skipping over tree roots🌳, manoeuvring around sheep🐑 and dodging cow pats🐄.
Whether you walk it or run it, this is Felbrigg-esque fun from start to finish.
The route is an uphill scramble followed by a downhill woodland tumble.
It then takes you over grass land (where sheep have right of way) to the lakes edge 🦆.
The final bit is down sheltered footpaths until the landscape opens up again for the 1.5km home straight.
Once a year Felbrigg hosts this route as an 🍂autumn trail race🥇 with a choice of three distances (2.5km/5km/10km).
All abilities are welcomed.
All money goes to the local North Norfolk Surf life saving Club 🏄.
🚶♂️ THE SLOWER OPTION🚶♀️
Avg. Time to walk one lap · about 1hr
The grand centrepiece of this loop - Felbrigg Hall is a large country house that’s watched over this landscape since the 17th-century. A little piece of Norfolk history cared for by the National Trust🌿.
There’s a cafe serving cakes, scones and pasties🥐 with inside and outside seating.
Checking out the second hand book shop📖 next to the cafe☕.
THE PRACTICALS
𓃦 The Doggy verdict: Not for the race day. However, a lovely route for a dog walk or run any other time. They will need to be on lead around the sheep and cattle.
○ ○The Shoe Situation: Not your poshest pair. It can be muddy.
